Tonola Robinson has been crowned Miss Teen Universe Guyana, earning the right to represent the country at the Miss Teen Universe international pageant.
The international competition is set to be held in Panama in 2027, where Robinson will compete in the teen category against delegates from around the world.
Organisers describe Robinson as representing the modern Guyanese woman, noting her confidence and pride in her roots as qualities that helped secure her the crown.
Her win is being held up as an example for young women across Guyana, with the message that beauty pageantry carries purpose beyond appearance, extending to leadership and using one's voice to inspire change.
In the months ahead, Robinson will undergo intensive preparation covering catwalk and stage presence, advocacy work, cultural training and community outreach ahead of the Panama pageant.
When she takes the stage in Panama, Robinson is expected to serve not only as a beauty queen but as an ambassador for Guyanese youth and for teen empowerment more broadly.
