Athletics: CARIFTA gold medallist and national record holder Rayquan Noel is encouraging young athletes to pursue excellence in both academics and sport, following a meeting with participants in the National Sports Commission’s Teach Them Young programme.

Culture & Tourism: The Carnegie School of Home Economics is strengthening cultural ties between Guyana and Colombia through food traditions and shared knowledge. The initiative focuses on cultural exchange and new opportunities in tourism and hospitality.

Road Safety: The Guyana Police Force is stepping up its road safety and public-awareness efforts through community engagement. Officers in Region Two recently met with bar owners in Charity to promote responsible alcohol service, safety, and compliance with the country’s liquor laws.

Agriculture: The Agriculture Minister has met with local livestock farmers as the Government moves to strengthen the sector and increase domestic production. The discussion focused on addressing challenges facing farmers and expanding support through the Guyana Livestock Development Authority.
