TUSCHEN, REGION THREE — Police are searching for the husband of 45-year-old Sonia Wilson in connection with her death, as the investigation into the killing at Phase 1, Tuschen Housing Scheme takes a new turn.
Wilson, a mother of one who reportedly worked as a cook at an interior mining camp, was found dead on the veranda of her home at about 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026. She had reportedly last been seen and spoken to at about 10:00 a.m. that day.
According to reports, a man who sells household items had gone to Wilson’s residence to follow up on a payment for an item she had reportedly taken. He allegedly discovered her lying motionless on the veranda and alerted nearby residents. Police subsequently responded to the scene and commenced investigations.
Reports indicate that Wilson sustained stab wounds.
Police sources have confirmed that investigators are seeking Wilson’s husband, who is being treated as the prime suspect in the killing. He has not yet been located.
Investigators are continuing their efforts to find him while working to establish the circumstances that led to Wilson’s death.
