News tips
If something is happening in your community and you think it should be reported, tell us. The most useful tips include:
- what happened, and where;
- when it happened, or when it is due to happen;
- who was involved, if you know;
- any photographs, video or documents you have;
- a way for a reporter to reach you with follow-up questions.
A reporter will contact you if we need more detail. We cannot report on every tip we receive, and we do not confirm in advance whether a story will run.
Confidentiality
If you need to speak to us without being named, say so clearly when you make contact. We will discuss what protection we can offer before you tell us anything sensitive. Do not send confidential material using an employer’s equipment or network.
Corrections
To report an error in something we have published or broadcast, use the contact form and include the headline and the specific statement you believe is wrong. Requests are handled under our Corrections policy.
Right of reply
If you are named or criticised in an LRTVS NewsWatch report and wish to respond, contact the newsroom. We will consider your response for publication alongside the story.
Advertising and sponsorship
Enquiries about advertising on Channels 10 and 16, on 88.5 FM or on this website are handled by the station’s commercial office and are entirely separate from the newsroom. Please mark advertising enquiries clearly so they reach the right desk.

Send press releases and event notices to the newsroom with the date, time and location clearly stated, and with a named contact who can answer questions. A release is not a guarantee of coverage.
