Guyana's representative Kya Bovell has officially arrived in St Maarten for the Miss Essence and Mind International Swimsuit Pageant.
Bovell arrived on the island yesterday and was met with a warm welcome, including smiles, hugs and island hospitality as she touched down.
St Maarten is known as the home of the Essence and Mind pageant, and Bovell joins delegates from across the Caribbean and around the world for season four of the event.
She arrived dressed in Guyana's colours and carrying the golden arrowhead with pride, appearing confident and excited as she made her entrance to begin her journey on the international stage.
Over the coming days, Bovell will settle in and join her fellow delegates for a week of activities, workshops and rehearsals ahead of the grand finale, set for October 3rd.
The atmosphere in St Maarten is already charged with pageantry, culture, sisterhood and empowerment, with Guyana proudly represented among the delegates.
