Preparations are moving ahead for Guyana Festival 2026, which is set to take place from 15 to 17 May at the Guyana National Stadium.
Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce Susan Rodrigues recently visited the venue to meet organisers and check on the progress being made ahead of the event.
Work is currently under way on staging, vendor setup and cultural displays as teams prepare for what is expected to be a major celebration of Guyanese culture and talent.
The festival will showcase different parts of Guyana’s culture, including food, creativity, entertainment and local businesses.
Organisers say the event will also focus on unity and national pride as the countdown continues.
With just days to go before the opening, excitement continues to grow as Guyanese look forward to three days of celebration at the national stadium.
