Students across Region Six continued sitting their CSEC examinations on 2 May 2026, as regional officials made a point of visiting examination centres to keep candidates focused and confident.
The Regional Executive Officer visited several schools early in the morning to encourage students before their papers.
During the visits he reminded students that their success matters not only to themselves but to Guyana’s future, and urged them to stay disciplined, stay focused and believe in themselves as they work toward their goals.
A total of 1,052 students across 22 centres are currently sitting the CSEC examinations in the region.
As the examinations continue, students are being urged to stay positive and give their best effort.
