Guyana’s Minister of Agriculture, Zulfikar Mustapha, visited Belize on 2 May 2026 as part of efforts to strengthen ties within the Caribbean.
During his visit he toured the National Agriculture and Trade Show, where he met farmers, business owners and agro-processors, and viewed displays on crops, livestock, machinery and new ideas in agriculture.
The Minister said the event was a valuable space for sharing ideas and working together as a region.
The visit also gave Guyana a chance to learn from other Caribbean countries while showcasing interest in growing its own agriculture sector.
Minister Mustapha also served as the featured speaker at the opening ceremony.
The trip forms part of ongoing efforts to build stronger partnerships and support agriculture across the region.
