The Ministry of Labour and Manpower Planning, in collaboration with Giftland OfficeMax, hosted a recruitment drive on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at the Giftland Mall parking lot.
The event drew strong interest from job seekers, with members of the public turning out to engage with representatives, make inquiries and explore possible pathways to employment and skills development.
Officials said the interactions underscored the importance of creating accessible spaces where individuals can learn about available opportunities and take practical steps toward their career goals.
Attendees used the opportunity to speak directly with representatives on site, seeking information on job openings and the requirements needed to access them.
The ministry said such initiatives form part of its ongoing effort to bridge the gap between job seekers and available opportunities in the workforce.
Officials noted that bringing recruitment services directly into community spaces such as shopping malls makes it easier for residents to access information without having to travel to formal offices.
The ministry said it remains committed to continuing these outreach efforts, describing them as a means of helping more citizens move toward a brighter and more secure professional future.
No further recruitment dates were announced following Saturday's event at Giftland Mall.
