Agriculture Minister leads weekly PSIP review as ministry tracks project delivery

GEORGETOWN, Guyana. Agriculture Minister Zulfikar Mustapha on Tuesday led the ministry’s weekly review of its Public Sector Investment Programme, convening heads of departments and agencies at his office to examine how ongoing projects are being carried out.

The session focused on the status of investments being undertaken by the ministry and its agencies. Officials went through progress to date, the issues holding up implementation, and the steps needed to clear those obstacles and keep work moving.

The weekly review is a fixed part of the ministry’s monitoring and oversight. It gives the minister and his technical teams a regular platform to measure project performance, flag areas that need attention, and keep public spending pointed at the outcomes it was approved for.

The ministry says the exercise is intended to bring greater efficiency and accountability to the delivery of agricultural development programmes across the country.
