NEW AMSTERDAM, Berbice — September 2, 2026
The Number 72 Allstars are the 2026 Price is Right Supermarket T20 champions after defeating the defending champions in the final of the tournament in Berbice.
Fans streamed through the gates from early morning for what has become one of Berbice's most anticipated cricket events. Families, friends and diehard cricket lovers filled the stands to witness the championship match.
The final featured two powerhouse teams from the area. The defending champions, a side with pedigree and pride, were looking to retain their crown. The Allstars came in as hungry challengers, determined to make their mark.
Both teams traded blows with bat and ball. On the day, however, it was the Allstars who held their nerve. Disciplined bowling, sharp fielding and timely batting brought them victory, and they toppled the defending champions to lift the title.
The match was carried live to viewers at home by a sports network, with a team on the ground covering every moment. In the commentary box, a panel of experienced voices guided fans through each over, combining sharp analysis with the energy the occasion deserved.
The atmosphere at the ground was electric. Music was provided by Crown Vibes, and the crowd was kept entertained throughout by a live performance from a popular local artist.
Tournaments like this do more than crown a winner. They bring communities together, give young players a stage and keep the cricket spirit alive in Berbice. The Price is Right Supermarket T20 League has once again delivered on that promise.
The Allstars now carry the title of champions into the next season, while the defending champions leave the final without the crown they came to protect.
